Is there a limit to the number of people who can come to the graduation?
COVID-19 guidelines within the state of Florida, including social distancing, will limit the number of people in attendance at various events throughout the weekend.
Seating in the Crowne Centre for the ceremony will be by ticket only with each graduate having access to 4 guest tickets. Due to social distancing planning, unused tickets cannot be shared with other families. We anticipate offering additional seating in an on-campus location with a livestream of the ceremony.
We will provide directions for securing these tickets later in July.
What is the schedule of events for the weekend?
The event schedule is still being finalized. A schedule will be sent to each registered participant closer to graduation weekend.
Will there be both a rehearsal and a ceremony on Saturday? Will the ceremony be recorded?
Yes, both the rehearsal and the ceremony will be on Saturday. We do plan to livestream the ceremony, as well as provide a digital recording for each graduate as soon as possible following the ceremony. More information about the livestream will come with the schedule of events once all details are finalized.
We also plan to take our annual graduate group photo, which will be available for purchase on the Abeka website in August in a size of your choice.
Are there any changes to the dress guidelines?
Dress guidelines are the same as you received in the spring. You can view them here.
Will there still be a luncheon on Saturday?
For the safety of our graduates and their families, we are considering different venues for meeting the teachers and different options for lunch on Saturday, both on campus and in the Pensacola community.
Once final decisions are made, luncheon refunds will be processed as needed.
Will incoming PCC freshmen have the opportunity to tour the College campus and meet with an advisor?
Yes! PCC tours are available for all guests, and advisors will be available to answer questions. Watch for more information coming about how to sign up for a tour.
Will there be any particular requirements (i.e., masks, gloves, etc.) while on campus for graduation weekend?
We are working with the Escambia County Health Department to ensure best practices. For the safety of your family and other guests, please plan to wear masks throughout all graduation weekend events. Masks will be available for your use. We encourage each family to take additional precautions in the best interest of its family members.
What if our graduate and family are traveling from a state or a country that Florida has under travel restrictions?
There is currently a 14-day self-quarantine for a few states and several international countries. Please monitor U.S. and Florida travel guidelines at sites such as these: www.cdc.gov and
Those from affected areas unable to follow these guidelines will not be able to participate.
Do the graduates need to bring their regalia and diploma cover?
Graduates should bring the regalia (cap, gown, and tassel) and any awards (honor cord and honor medallion)
that were mailed to them. Replacements will be available for purchase upon arrival if needed.
It is not necessary to bring the diploma cover.
What do I do if my plans changed, and I'm no longer able to participate? Can I get a refund?
Due to the continuing spread of the COVID-19 virus, it is understandable that your family may no longer feel comfortable traveling and participating in the graduation event. For that reason, refunds are available upon cancellation through July 15. Cancellations after that time are not eligible for a refund. Please contact us at ABAgraduation@abeka.com.
