Graduation Requirements

Diplomas are issued to graduating seniors when the following graduation requirements have been met:

  • Eligible seniors must complete a total of 24 credits (minimum of 4 credits with the Abeka Academy Accredited Program in grade 12).
  • All lessons, whether streaming or DVD, have been viewed.
  • All coursework has been validated.
  • If applicable, all DVDs have been returned.
  • Class rank is based on an unweighted GPA among others who complete graduation requirements and submit for validation by May 31 of their current school year.
  • College-bound students are encouraged to take the ACT or SAT when available. Accredited students use high school code 101388.

    Graduation Ceremony Eligibility

    All eligible Accredited Program graduating seniors and their families are invited to attend the Abeka Academy graduation activities and ceremony held on the campus of Pensacola Christian College. Additional information has been sent to eligible seniors.

    To participate, eligible students must:

    • Have a full-year grade 12 enrollment with a begin date on or before November 25, 2020. (Second semester students are not eligible to march.)
    • Make sure that all first through third grading period completed progress reports with required work are in the Abeka Academy Office by April 1, 2021.

    Additional information regarding fees, dates, etc., has been sent to eligible seniors.

    Academic Honors

    Graduating seniors participating in the Abeka Academy graduation ceremony are eligible to receive academic awards.

    President’s Award

    • At least 3.5 unweighted GPA
    • Ranking of 85th percentile or above on a nationally recognized standardized test, such as the ACT or SAT (based on user percentile)
    • Test scores must be received in the Abeka Academy office no later than May 1 for consideration

    Academic Achievement Award

    • 4.0 unweighted GPA*
    • *based on each credit-bearing course, including transferred courses

    Academic Honors Award

    • 4.0 unweighted GPA*
    • Must have completed all available honors courses in the Abeka Academy accredited program

    2019 Graduation Ceremony

    In May 2019, 556 Abeka Academy seniors and their families celebrated at the Commencement Exercises on the campus of Pensacola Christian College.

    Festivities began on Friday afternoon with a Welcome Meeting, campus tours, and the Sports Center Spectacular. On Saturday, the graduates received their diplomas at a special Commencement ceremony. Dr. Jeff Redlin, Pastor of Campus Church, delivered the challenge to the senior class.

    The 2020 graduation ceremony was held virtually due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
